We also celebrated Vinessa's birthday with a dinner out to a Japanese place where Hallie enjoyed watching the cooking show and actually used the word "delicious" to describe her food (I didn't even know she knew that word!). We also saw our first snowfall of the year as well, which made for a beautiful morning scene.
Next, we drove to Nanny's house to celebrate Rick's birthday and then Robertson Thanksgiving the next day. We were impressed with Nanny's homemade apple pie and of course, the whole meal (see Josh's plate again). We sure are blessed with great cooks in the family--which sure give me a lot to live up to in the future!
It truly is a blessing to be able to spend time with family who love and support us so much. How very thankful we are for them, as well as our friends! We thought a lot about our son, too...hoping that he will be with us next holiday season. As we let our minds wander to the situation he is going to be born into, we often think about the sacrifice that is going to have to be made in order for him to come into our family. We pray for his birthmother and all the circumstances that will be a part of his life before us. It makes us thankful for what we have been blessed with, but reminded that "to whom much is given, much is required." May we live a life that is representative of that!

Josh and Kelly, we too love seeing all your photos and enjoying the many times that God blesses us with to spend time with each of you!!! I love the Bible verse that you quoted! God wants each of us to not only remember what our responsibilities are, but to actually display those with words but most of all our actions each and every day. What a Great, Awesome God He is!!! Thank you both for your love and allowing us to have the many, many times we do to spend with you both and our precious granddaughter... Miss Hallie Grace! We love ya'll and know that God will bless you with your precious, precious son in His timing. What great parents you both are and will be to your lil' guy!!! Keep your faith and hold on strong.
