Silas is half a year old!

Well in between selling our house, moving to a new city, setting up a new house, continuing in various doctors appointments for both kiddos, bonding with Silas, helping Hallie transition to a new city and home, making a zillion phone calls to change address/utilities/etc. etc. etc....I haven't had much time for blogging!  Who would have thought?!  What I feel worst about is that I let Silas' six month birthday slip by without a blog shout-out.  So here is my almost two weeks late six month birthday post! 

At six months old, Silas weighs at least eighteen and a half pounds!  He is a seriously big boy!  We get so many shocked faces when people ask how old he is.  They expect to hear at least nine/ten months.  :c)  He loves to eat, sucking every bottle until he is 100% sure it is just air coming out.  He also has had no objections to any of the baby foods we have tried, veggies or fruits.  Just keep 'em coming....any food is good food in Silas' world.  :c) 

Our "little" guy can sit up completely unsupported, roll both ways (when he feels like it), grab things (anything at all) and put them in his mouth, makes lots of noises (including mamamama...not sure it is specific to me, but I like it anyways), and smiles and laughs a lot (especially at Hallie).  We do still have our moments as we all adjust to each other (his scream/wail is pretty ear-piercing) but they are getting less frequent and less lengthy.  :c)  Overall he is a really good baby and we are blessed that he is healthy and happy!

Side note: I'm posting the helmet photo because you will probably be seeing Silas rockin' it in the posts to come later on about summer happenings and I wanted to just get it out there.  Yes, he wears a helmet to help round out his head, and he gets to take it off for 1-2 hours a day so these other photos were taken during break times.  :c)  He should only have to wear it for another 2-3 months, he doesn't mind it at all, and other than getting headbutted a few times by it, we don't mind it either.  He's pretty cute no matter what!
