Heat Wave

Whew! We are seriously melting here, as it has been close to 100 every day for the past week...no, two weeks...no, longer...goodness, I can't even remember how long! It's tough to find exciting indoor things to do so we brave the heat in "spurts" to have fun and then quickly come in to cool off. We are thankful for air conditioning and with our adoption, think more about how blessed of a situation we live in compared to much of the rest of world.

In the last week, we have celebrated two milestones---six wonderful years of marriage and my last Masters class (hallelujah)! Josh suprised me with bikes for the two of us (and a seat attachment for the munchkin) and we are so excited to go on family bike rides! This month, miss Hallie has also had some quality grandparent and great-grandparent time--including a trip to the zoo with MawMaw and Pawpaw and a visit to (Great) Nanny's house where Poppy and (Great) Uncle John were visiting, too. She also finished up swim classes, which she absolutely loved!
