Update from Louisville

Well, we are getting settled here in Louisville. It has been going well so far. The house is slowly but surely getting unpacked and organized. We really love our neighborhood and the area that we live in is super convienent to everything necessary (Target, Kroger, Petsmart, Home Depot, etc.). Josh is finished with orientation and tomorrow night he begins residency officially. Did you notice the tomorrow *night*? Yes, he starts out with two weeks of night shift! Fun, fun! Hopefully it will go well...pray for the both of us.

Here are a couple of pictures of new things in our house--the fence, new rockers on the front porch, and Maycie enjoying the new rug and hardwood floor. :c)

The pregnancy is going well and Hallie is beginning to kick more frequently now. Josh has been able to feel her and that's super exciting! Here's an update on her development at 23 weeks:

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.
