On Friday, July 17th, we celebrated 5 years of marriage! We dressed up and went out to a nice restaurant where we enjoyed adult conversation (without making funny faces or singing silly songs) and excellent cuisine (without having to worry about bringing a bib and baby food). It was a great time! Most of the time we talked about all we have done over these five years, things like:
Kelly getting her teaching job
Josh going through four years of medical school and then becoming Dr. Johnson
Raising a kitten and a puppy (luckily not at the same time)
Taking road trips all around the country for residency interviews
Vacations to some pretty amazing places
Moving from Lexington to Louisville
Buying our first house
Finding out we were expecting a baby
Josh completing his intern year and both of us surviving 50 overnight calls (!)
And last but not least...the arrival of miss Hallie Grace
We've had a busy five years, but God has taken care of us and richly blessed us through it all. He's drawn us closer together and we are more in love today than we were the day we got married. We look forward to what He has in store for us in the future!
I'm going to steal my friend Abbie's (The Lilly Pad) idea and post a couple pictures of us "back in the day." Just like they do in theirs, I think we look so young! The first is from our first month of dating, then two wedding pictures and one from our honeymoon. The last is a picture from Friday, our 5th anniversary.

Congratulations on 5 years. Time goes by so fast doesn't it! To answer your question about our pictures. a friend from high school did them. Her name is Jenny Paiva and she lives in Campbellsville. She has had no professional training, just natural talent. She did such a great job!
